Dealz Celebrates Fiftieth Store Opening

DEALZ CELEBRATES FIFTIETH STORE OPENING BY MARKING
COMPANIES FOURTH ANNIVERSARY OF TRADING IN IRELAND

2016 will see a further investment of at least €6m and the creation of over 400 new jobs

TODAY (5th November 2015) Ireland’s leading discount retailer Dealz reached a major milestone with the opening of its fiftieth store in Ireland, but also marks the brands fourth anniversary of trading, firmly positioning Dealz as a major retailer in the Irish market.

Since launching in Ireland in late 2011, Dealz has invested over €20m million into the Irish economy. 2016 will see a further commitment of over €6 million with the opening of further stores across the country creating over 400 new Irish jobs.

Dealz will open its 50th store on Thomas Street in Dublin City Centre with almost 5000sq ft of selling space creating 25 new Irish jobs. The opening of the new Dealz stores brings the total number of jobs created in Ireland to date to over 1,500.

Speaking at Dealz fourth anniversary and further sealing the commitment of Dealz to Ireland, CEO Jim McCarthy said:  “We are delighted to be celebrating our fourth year of trading here in Ireland with the opening of our 50th Dealz store. Now as a major retailer in the Irish market we look towards year five and our exciting expansion plans, which will not only continue to create new job opportunities for Irish workers but will allow us to bring our amazing value and customer experience to more Irish shoppers across the country

Popular with Irish consumers, Dealz was recently listed as one of the top 30 companies in Ireland for customer experience in 2015 in a survey carried out by Amárach Research for CEXi.org. Furthermore Dealz also achieved 82% through Net Promoter Score firmly cementing Dealz as a firm favourite for shoppers, particularly with the younger population, females and children. When asked consumers listed Value for Money (88%), Friendliness (78%) and Service (76%) as reasons to shop at Dealz.
