Feeding Guide

A healthy diet for your dog’s best health

  •  Your dog needs constant access to clean drinking water.
  •  A well-balanced diet suitable for their age, lifestyle and health status to stay fit and healthy is important. If in doubt, please see your Vet for nutritional needs for dog/breed type.
  •  Dogs need feeding at least once each day, unless advised otherwise by your vet.
  • Dogs require particular types of food to keep them healthy – most human meals will not provide dogs with the nutrition they require. Some human foods, such as chocolate, onions, and grapes can be highly poisonous to dogs.
  •  Always read and follow the feeding instructions on any dog food product that you buy. The amount of food you feed your dog must be adjusted and monitored regularly as it is unhealthy for your dog to be either underweight or overweight.
  • How much your dog needs to eat depends on their diet, breed, body weight and how active they are.
  •  Always supervise your pet when feeding natural bones as they can splinter and if swallowed could cause injury to your pet.
  • Remove all small pieces of bone as soon as you find them.
  • Remove the bone and discard after two days use.
  • Stay observant if your dog’s eating or drinking habits change,  consult your vet as your dog could be ill.
