“I wish to meet…Nathan Carter”
Katie is 11 years old and lives with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She had her wish granted last week when she met her idol Nathan Carter before his concert at Leopardstown Racecourse.
Our wish volunteers visited Katie in May and reported back that Katie is a huge fan of Nathan Carter. Wishgranters in the office soon found out that Nathan was performing in Dublin already in June and after some quick actions managed to organise her wish!
Katie travelled from Cork with her family and she was filled with excitement. She enthusiastically showed Nathan her fine guitar skills. Nathan and Katie performed a “Wagon Wheel” duet to resounding cheers, before enjoying some banter and chat as he signed Katie’s guitar.
Katie had more surprises when she was presented with a guitar shaped birthday cake to celebrate her 11th birthday.
Nathan also gave her some lovely gifts to mark the occasion. Katie was thrilled to co-present the trophy to the winning connections of The Nathan Carter Apprentice Handicap Race. She finished off her day by singing and dancing at his concert!
